Thanks a lot! i'm flattered i'm a first guest in your series :) The track is inspired by the sessions we did and the idea of shining a different, natural, (warm) light on instruments, drums etc. Placing elements in another warm and natural environment. Detroit sun is like walking through brussels or any other city at night, such a different city, more empty, but more and different details are visible when you walk on the streets. yep, the empty motorway sound :)

Although i'm always a bit reluctant putting things out, it's nice to share something with people and discuss it, so i lift up my wine glass and say: cheers!

yes, you're right. does not sound digital at all. like vinyl.
funny how all those little elements are "off" the beat. like for example the chirch-bells have some oddtimes, but still (maybe this is why) go great with the rest.
thanks for leaving your thoughts!

Well that's a great idea to discuss music (like in the old days?) just for the sake of it. You were talking about the idea of putting up a vinyl and to me this track has the sound of a good old vinyl, very warm and crispy. Reminds me of Morcheeba, Portishead, etc but very unique in its own way. I love the production here, on top of everything else. The arrangement transports you through a very nice journey into sound. It feels like a very nice drive by night on an empty motorway. Thanks for sharing:)
